About ITProMail

Why we exist

Most free email is funded by knowing as much about you as possible. Most paid email is run by companies that are far too large for any individual member to matter. We think there is room for something in between: a small host that treats a mailbox as private property.

ITProMail runs on infrastructure we manage ourselves, with a deliberately small surface area and short log retention. We publish what we do and, just as importantly, what we do not do.

Principles

• Members pay, not advertisers. Flat subscription pricing, nothing else.
• Open standards. If a client speaks IMAP and SMTP it works. Leaving should be easy.
• Say what is true. We describe limits plainly rather than selling magic.
• Stay small. Growth is not the goal. Reliability and trust are.
